As Cissy Mecca, she writes contemporary romance. As C.L. Mecca, she writes fantasy and paranormal romance. A former English teacher with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy, she now writes full time for readers who want their next escape to feel emotional, immersive and worth returning to.

Cecelia Mecca is a romance author and the creator of Mecca Romance, the home for her historical, contemporary, fantasy and paranormal love stories.
Her own name belongs to medieval, Scottish and time travel historical romance, where honor, danger and hard-won love shape every story. Cissy Mecca is her contemporary side, filled with banter, found family, heat and second chances. C.L. Mecca moves into epic fantasy, alternate-world fantasy and paranormal romance, where power, longing and myth sit close to the love story.
Before becoming a full-time author, Cecelia was an eighth grade English teacher and earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy. After the success of her first published series, she left the classroom and built a romance career around the stories and worlds she loves most.
Her books are for readers who want escape with emotion, chemistry and a strong sense of place. From castle corridors to coffee shops to magical realms, Mecca Romance offers love stories where strong women fall hard without losing themselves.
